Hey all,

For a while I've been running a dual-12 bandpass box that I picked up REALLY cheap secondhand, looks pretty much identical to this one:

Admittedly, I've also got pretty cheap subs because I was concerned more with price than quality at the time. It sounds good enough to me, but I'm no audiophile. What I'm wondering is if I should scrap the bandpass box, and take my local enclosure expert up on his offer to make a custom sealed box designed to fit perfectly into my car.

I've only had a bandpass box so far, so I've no idea how a sealed box sounds as opposed to it, or anything like that. This guy I've been talking to not only runs an entire car audio shop but also works his spare time at a body shop/ mod place doing custom fiberglass work. As far as LOOKS, I definitely want the custom enclosure.

Another thing I don't like is the fact that my box produces so much rattling when observed from the trunk. It sounds fine up front when I'm listening to my stereo, but go back to the trunk to show it off and it sounds like something else entirely.

I do also realize this is a pretty crappy low-end box I'm running now...

What would you do?
