did it only stall when you came to a complete stop?

if that IS the case.. it sounds like you may have a faulty Lockup circuit for the torque converter..... something that may be as simple as a loose plug from when the sensors were changed.
 
its all on the tranny.. so all the wires get bundled together somewhere.

the locup part of the tranny enguages and disengauges all the time when driving.. but might get more "stuck" or such when it has been engauged for long periods of time, as in when cruizing on the hiway.....
 
if you put it in neutral and the symptoms cant be repeated.. it is definately something in the tranny. go get that checked out.
