Yes it does, but don't people install it anyways?

I thought HID lights produce less heat that the standard lights...

What is the logic behind that sticker? I'm confused..
not sure but I suspect it is because of more heat melting the enclosure. Plus HID's in any enclosure not intended for HID's are against the Law. per DOT. It may just be there for that reason.

I have a set on the floor right now waiting installation. I bought this HID kit. Not sure if it the best choice though..........
eBay Motors: XENON HID CONVERSION KIT H1 H3 H4 H10 H9 6000K HB2 HB3 (item 230328998922 end time Mar-10-09 12:51:05 PDT)

I didn't know I could get in trouble with the law for having HIDs in my projectors...

I'm totally confused now.. all I wanted was a nice bright whiter light.. :(

Do I have any alternatives?
I think the chances of you getting a ticket are slim to none.......... Cokey 11 and a few other are running with them just as purchased. Halogen.

Yeah it says "HID bulb not allowed" and a whole bunch of chinese characters..

Well it is a relief to know I won't be melting any plastic... any suggestions as to which kit is the right one? I don't want to buy something that is not compatible..
The guy that told me they could melt just told me he was kidding...... sorry for the bad info..........:eek7:
