While my Intrepid Is waiting to be fixed I am driving a 2001 Mercury Sable LS premium. t has the 24 Valve DOHC engine and is really quick. Some one from school is running a 1995 Taurus with the 3.8 and i noticed he has dual exhaust. He has 15 more torque, but i have 60 more hp. who would win? The Duratech V6 is REALLY fast but he does have more torque. (I hate Ford but at least its fast) Cant wait to get my Trep back. :biggrin:

If the sable is in good condition (clean air/fuel filter, good spark), i think it would be close off the line, but in the long end, you could probably take him. 60hp is a big difference.

He has the Police Package taurus. They had the 3.8 liter, different grille, and dual exhaust.
