im more then likely putting these on at the end of the month, maybe with the greenstuff pads.
Research those pads before you buy them. I haven't heard too many good things.Maverick9110E said:im more then likely putting these on at the end of the month, maybe with the greenstuff pads.

Well, let me tell you my experience thus far with the front rotors.flowersc said:To hell with what type of pads, what type of rotors will last a long time on these cars without warpage? My latest set is toast, causing all kinds of wobbling when the brakes are applied.
Is there a way to put bigger rotors on these cars? My car chews threw them quickly. Although, I had the pads that are carbon impregnated, and seemed to have caused the rotors to stand up a bit longer. It wasn't until I put the semi-metallics on there that the rotors began to go to hell.
Wuss. You ain't a man! Men don't give a **** about softness!!!! All I need is a roll of paper towl!!!!!Methman said:i prefer tampax, a little softer.. for a mans needs..![]()
Well, if he was comparing them to the Bendix Global (Global is our mid-grade line) rotors, than he may be correct. However, if he was comparing them to the Bendix rotors, than I have to say he is wrong.IAmNewAndTired said:i was at advanced auto the other day, and the guy said that their wearever rotors were just as good as the bendix. is this true?
they had the same warranty and are cheaper.
Bigger rotors ain't gonna happen, without big $'s, which sucks. I went through three sets of front rotors before 70K miles, including one trick cross-drilled set...drilled my wallet, too. Ironically, they lasted the least amount of time.flowersc said:To hell with what type of pads, what type of rotors will last a long time on these cars without warpage? Do you have the part number on those rotors?mckellyb said:Bigger rotors ain't gonna happen, without big $'s, which sucks. I went through three sets of front rotors before 70K miles, including one trick cross-drilled set...drilled my wallet, too. Ironically, they lasted the least amount of time.
I still have a hard time believing it, but the rotors on there now are a 'lifetime guaranteed' pair from Checker Auto (which is also Shucks, Kragen, and probabaly a few others). Have had those for 50K, and there was a time I was trying to warp them, without success, mainly 'cause I just couldn't believe I'd finally found a durable set. We lived at 9K feet, SW of Denver, at the time, and commuting into town was, well, fun most days.
I found the reciept, last week, paid around $90 for the pair. Best $90 I've spent on this machine.
