Hello Everyone,

I've uploaded the LH Series Factory Service Manual and Supplements to my Yahoo Briefcase. Feel free to download whatever you wish..The link is listed below. You'll need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader to use the manual. It can be downloaded at adobe.com. The main manual PDF file had to be split into several parts due to the 15mb file upload limit. Download all the files and use the Welcome.pdf file as a starting point. If you want just the service manual, download the 6 files named 19071-LH_INTLPDF and join them with WinRar. ****UPDATED*** rehot04 pointed out the self executeable files don't download and work properly. I've reverted back to all Rar files and you will need WinRar to open the files. If you've downloaded the 6 files before 05-06-2005, you'll need to download them again to have them work properly. Sorry about the mistake. ***End update***If you don't have WinRar, do a Google search and download it. It's free and will work past the trial expiration date. Put all the files in the same directory of your choosing. Remember to join the WinRar files before opening the Welcome file.
The supplements include; Gas Powertrain, 2003 Body, 2004 Body Supplement, Chassis and Transmission chapters. The Transmission supplement describes the individual trouble codes above P0700. If any one has any problems with the link or the files, please PM me or Email me. Hope this helps my fellow Intrepid/LH owners

Wanted to make sure the download site worked. If someone can let me know that they've successfully downloaded the files and used them, please let me know. Also let me know if you've been able to get good download speeds for you DSL or Cable modem people. I want to know if the Yahoo site is a viable alternative to hosting files. Either PM or email me. Thanks everyone.

Files all downloaded perfectly! I'm trying to figure out how to join them. I have WinRar but have never used it to jion files back together.

I have Comcast HSI and it may have taken me a total of 10 minutes to get all of the files.

What happens if you open the Welcome file first? I did, and then I went back and read the remaining part of your post. Did I screw up my chances of joining the files...if I can figure out how it is done???

Joining the files is easy if WinRar is installed. Just click on the Rar file with that says part1. A window will open asking where you want to save the joined file. You can use the default or pick a folder of your choice. Opening the Welcome.pdf file without joining the Rar files doesn't harm anything. It just won't allow you to open the Service manual when clicking on that button. The other buttons should work fine if all the files are in the same directory. I probably should redo the Rar files to make them self extracting to a particular folder. Might be easier for some people. Thanks for the feedback and the Questions that could be a concern.

Well, I'll be the first to admit that a lot of this computer stuff baffles me. I opened each of the WinRar files and each file went into a new folder, so now I have 6 folders with a .pdf file in side. I don't think that was how it was supposed to work, was it?

You are going to have to walk me through joining the files one step at a time... or just email me the joined files. Thats easier than teaching an old dog a new trick.

Thanks for providing the manual. It will be a big help to all of us.

NP How big is the .pdf file in each of the folders? Are they the same size? The extracted joined file should be 53.4 MB (56,063,561 bytes). If not I can redo the files as a self extracting archive or a Zip file. Email limits the size of attachments usually under 1mb. That means I would have to send 53 emails to you to get the complete file. I can redo and upload the Rar files to make them self extracting if that's better. Let me know about the file size?

Ok everyone. I've changed the format of the main manual pdf to a self extracting WinRar file. Download the 6 parts and click on the executable file(exe) to start extraction. It'll put the pdf file in your C:\ directory. Just copy it to the directory you've downloaded all the other files to and you'll be good to go. Hope this makes it easier for some. If not PM or email me to get things straightened out.

The WinRar files are exactly the same size, and apparently they must have joined themselves with out my input, because the file size in each of the 6 new folders is 53.4MB, and each has the same file name. I thought I had to join each of those to make a 300 plus MB file. So I have to assume I have a bunch of duplicate files that I can delete?

I learned something new again today!!

Thanks for the help.

I've had to redo the 6 files that make up the main portion of the manual and upload them again. If you've tried to download the files before 05-06-2005 and they don't save and/or open properly, download the new files that are in the briefcase now. Thanks to redhot04 for bringing this issue to my attention. You will need WinRar to open the files and save it as one PDF. I've also updated this in the first message of this thread. My apologies for any frustration this may have caused.

I think Yahoo is having some server problems. I can see my saved directory structures but when I try to open a folder I get the server error. Let me check into it. This has been happening yesterday and today. let me look into it.

Yahoo has been acting funny especially over the past weekend. Even I was getting the page not found error. It's interesting that as the briefcase owner I was able to create new folders and upload files but when I went to look at the files I got the page not found error again. Hope it's working OK for everyone now.

D76, I did get your rep points, thank you. People were having problems accessing the files in the last 7 days including myself. I figured the briefcase was a good cheap way for a file server. However if it's not online it isn't any good to anyone. I noticed someone bringing up they couldn't access it about 5 days ago and I wanted to look into it. It appears to be working fine now. The manual and supplements are invaluable to anyone working on their car. I've used it more times than I can count myself!! The blackout happened around May 6-9. If anyone has any more difficulty...contact me.
