Rims in the sig....split 16" 5 stars.... do I polish them out or get them plated??? trying to think of something to do to them til i can afford 18's?

Hmm... The cost of getting them chromed would be almost as much as getting new rims... I know of a place here in Southern California that will swap stocks for chromes for $500 (installed).
They have to be the exact same rims and same size; I guess they then take your old rims and chrome them and sell them to the next guy... Maybe there is a place like this somewhere close to you...?

probally not.... i got a price of polishing bu 5.0 5 stars when i had it of 85 bucks but I'm not sure if these can be done maybe I'll go and get a price on chroming can't hurt!

If it's only temporary, try vacuum metalizing. It's alot cheaper than chrome but looks the same.

I love the way big rims look but I'm not willing to go drop 5 G's on 20's....I just wanna make these sparkle!!

who the hell told you that you would pay 5k for some damn dubz ?
personally i would just keep the wheels you have the same, and save up your dough to get some 18, you will only need to save about 1500.
tho money that you would have to pay to get them dipped will almost have you half way on the price you will need for some new rims, not to mention that most places take like a couple of weeks dip your whels and then give them back to you so you still will have to buy another set of wheels to have on your car while you are getting the other ones done.
and i am sure that most rim shops finance rims also, so if your credit is not to bad then you can have some for like 1oo bucks a month, if you really just want some wheels.
but i recomend just waiting and saving, thats always the best method.

I'm up here in Canada... I got some prices on some basic 20's and it was just over 5g's with taxes 14.5%.......then he had a used set which were Fugly for 2700....18's with still cost me 2500......... for 2 inches i'll chrome my rims for 5 bills..and if ai get 20's I'll need to lower it cuz it'll sit to high..money money money...as for finacing it..I already have car payment mortgage baby on the way!

one of the online retailers has to ship to canada...those are ridiculous prices he is quoting you unless they are top of the line rims. you should be able to get a decent set of 18s for ~$1200

Well how much did you think chroming would cost? IMO its not worth it... unless you already have an expensive wheel to start (like an aluminum 18" 300m special rim)... and you wanted that chromed.
