Please read all .... there may be some details in here.
Details: 95 Dodge Intrepid 3.3Liter 85,000 Miles. All Service done by Dealer.
Symptoms: Car seems to hestitate when getting up to speed 0 to 40 MPH. At 40 MPH the car starts to Jerk, Bump, Hestitate. I give it gas...seems ok, But if I try to level off anywhere between 40 to 60MPH the Jerk/Bump/Hestation Returns.
History:
1st Battery replaced (the above did not occur before battery replaced)
2nd Symptoms above arrive...in dealer for 2 days, can't find problem, thinks its ignition coil, ok repair, charge $276 for Ignition Coil and spark plugs regapped (fuel fouled??).
3rd Still have problem take back to dealer. Mention fuel rail because cousin had problem in their '93 with the fuel rail. They say fuel rail ok but all 6 Fuel Injectors bad. OK replacement of all 6 Fuel Injectors. They have car for 11 days Charged $606
Still have problem!!
4th Service Manager calls and says that he still thinks its a fuel issue not a TCM issue. That if a TCM issue will cost around $700. They are willing to look at it again by dropping the tank, cleaning fuel lines, fuel pump and replace fuel filter. No Charge (they are so nice) sarcastic.
Still have Problem.
In talking to the Techs before talking to Service Manager they said they cannot Flash/Update my version of the TCM. He also said they cannot replace it. In talking to Service Manager he does not say they cannot replace but that TCM Service would cost almost $700 and they want to make sure its not a fuel problem 1st...evidently not a fuel problem.
My Questions:
Is this the infamous bump shift?
Is my TCM Flash/Upgradable (they say its a 1st Gen??)?
Cost of TSM Replace and complete Trans Fluid and Filter replace?
Is there a TSB on this, which one, could someone send me the TSB?
